Summer Picnics
Mark your calendars for the upcoming summer picnics:
July 2nd and August 6th. These are held at Scott County Park across
from the high school at one of the pavilions. Each picnic begins at
6pm, family and friends are invited, and each family needs to bring
two potluck side dishes to share. A donation is recommended to
offset the cost of the meat, tableware and drink the church provides
for the meal.

Summer game nights
During the summer we are going to do something a little different. We
are going to open up the 3rd Wednesday to a game night. These will
be held: July 16 and August 20 at 630pm here at the church. In July
our theme will be H2O (water) with appropriate games for all ages.
Plan to bring a lawn chair, a friend and something to get wet in!

Youth Group
During the summer months the youth group will meet at the church
on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Wednesdays from 630-8pm. We will be
studying the book of James. This Wednesday (June 25th) we will be in
chapter 1.

Nursery
Workers are still needed for the nursery! This is a once a month
commitment. Please see Danielle Miller or Dan Oberg if you would
like to plug in to this ministry.

Adult Sunday School
During the Sunday School hour we are conducting leadership
development classes for men and women. Jean Montgomery is leading
the women and Jack Brooks, Jim Montgomery and Dan Oberg are
leading the men. The men are going through "The Measure of a Man"
with an accompanying work book. If you are in need of a workbook
or you need the DVD/CD because you have missed a session please
see one of the teachers.

Lexington Legends Faith Night
Sunday, July 20th at 4pm the Legends will be hosting the Columbus
Catfish. Since this is "faith night" there will be a concert after the
game featuring Mark Schultz. We have 20 tickets on hold for $11
each. If you are interested in attending please see Dan Oberg as soon
as possible because tickets must be purchased by July 2nd.

Children's Church
We have a need in our children's church department for a summer
teacher. This person will be responsible for leading this ministry
during the worship service in room 7 for ages 4-second grade. Please
see Dan Oberg for details.
